General
All of our Vehicles are NON DDA Compliant meaning that unfortunately due to the age and nature of the vehicles we cannot offer disabled access.
All vehicles are NOT equipped with seat belts meaning that you travel with us at your own risk.
Although every vehicle is Class 6 Mot’d and undergoes a thorough inspection every 10 weeks, we cannot predict breakdowns, punctures and other such failures and for that reason running vehicles that in some cases are over 50 years old we cannot be held responsible for the above, but in whatever circumstances we have we will en devour to replace the vehicle for a substitute. If we cannot replace the vehicle due to nothing available we will reimburse the full amount paid to date with TLMS.
All Vehicles and staff of TLMS are required to be treated with full respect at all times, these vehicles are very old and irreplaceable. We are here to help you celebrate your day and will aid in every way we can. We have a zero tolerance of rudeness, damages to property and staff. Alcohol, food and such like must be agreed with Troopers Lodge Motor Services prior to any event taking place, abusing this privilege will prohibit the use of the bus and contract terminated with immediate effect.
Punctuality is something we try to adhere to, you will find that we will arrive up to an hour early in some cases, this gives us time to clean the exterior of the bus, prepare ribbons and make sure the Vehicle is ready for you. If we are held up in Traffic, an accident and such like we will make you fully aware the minute we think there will be a problem likewise we will expect the same if the client is having problems.
Safety & Maintenance
Vehicles at TLMS have been restored to a very high standard and are subject to thorough safety checks every 10 weeks. This backed with our own maintenance program to keep vehicles up to a high standard means that breakdowns and issues are far and few between.
Drivers & Insurance
All drivers are experienced vintage vehicle drivers and all have a PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licences. The buses are all taxed Mot’d and insured for private hire and we have fully comprehensive and public liability insurance.
We hold a full Public Service Vehicle Operator’s Licence, issued by the Department of Transport, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
Food & Drink Policy
I am afraid we do not allow food or drink to be consumed on any of our vehicles.
Be Aware...
BE AWARE OF THE DANGERS OF USING AN UNLICENSED OPERATOR!
Sadly there are Many Companies offering Bus Hire with NO operators Licence No valid MOTs. The Above also means that the insurance is void which is usually found later down the line after an accident.
Unfortunately, there are unlicensed bus owners advertising their services in this area at highly discounted prices, so before booking ask for their O Licence number, Current Class 6 MOT on vehicle you wish to hire, Tacho calibration and insurance provider. These are the minimal standards required to operate any PCV for hire and reward.
